Background:
This role sits within a Later Life Service Group supporting citizens through key life stages, delivering and transforming services for millions of people receiving State Pension, Pension Credit and other retirement-related support. As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary analytics team working across Service Delivery, Digital and Transformation to deliver insight, advanced analytics, Machine Learning and AI solutions. The team partners with stakeholders to understand complex business challenges, identify opportunities where data can add value, and support evidence-based decision-making using enterprise data and a range of analytical and data science techniques.

Key Tasks:

• Lead the development of advanced analytics, Machine Learning and AI solutions to support decision-making across Later Life Services
• Work closely with stakeholders across Service Delivery, Digital and Transformation to understand business challenges and identify data opportunities
• Explore large and complex datasets to solve business problems, uncover service improvement opportunities, and provide evidence-based recommendations
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and senior stakeholders, communicating complex analysis clearly to inform decisions
