Service Designer - Contract (Inside IR35)
Rate: £500 per day
Location: Remote (occasional travel to Newcastle - approx. once every 2 months)

Overview
We're looking for an experienced Service Designer to support a newly established area of the business. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and define end-to-end services from the ground up, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centred solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and map end-to-end services across digital and offline journeys
- Conduct and synthesise user research and insights to inform design decisions
- Create and deliver service blueprints, journey maps, and process maps
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and stakeholders
- Identify pain points and opportunities to improve service efficiency and user experience
- Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with business goals, user needs, and operational requirements
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Designer in complex environments
- Strong background in user-centred design and design thinking methodologies
- Experience producing service blueprints, customer journey maps, and ecosystems maps
- Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced or greenfield environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in building services within a new or emerging function
- Background in public sector or regulated industries
- Familiarity with agile delivery environments
