Service Designer - Contract Role
£600 per day

We're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a high-impact digital programme within the public sector. You'll work end-to-end across service journeys, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to shape user-centred, accessible services that meet strategic and operational needs.
What you'll be doing
- Lead service design activities from discovery through to delivery
- Map existing and future state service journeys, identifying gaps and opportunities
- Work with Product, UR, Interaction Design, BA and Technical teams to define service improvements
- Translate insights and policy into practical, user-centred service solutions
- Ensure alignment to GOV.UK Service Standards and accessibility principles
- Communicate complex service issues clearly to stakeholders of all levels
What we're looking for
- Strong experience as a Service Designer on digital transformation projects
- Public sector/GDS experience highly desirable
- Confident working across complex services with multiple user groups
- Skilled in service mapping, prototyping, systems thinking and facilitating workshops
- Ability to influence and work closely with senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in fast-paced agile environments
