Key Responsibilities

• Align architectural designs with enterprise strategy, roadmaps, and emerging technologies

• Lead communication of complex architectural topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Make and guide medium-risk architectural decisions across multiple teams and domains

• Define and shape problems to enable effective solution design

• Produce high- and low-level design documentation and maintain architectural coherence

• Contribute to architectural governance, risk management, and assurance processes

• Support strategy development and implementation through roadmaps and architectural principles

• Collaborate within Agile teams, identify team health issues, and drive continuous improvement

Technical ExpertiseSolution Architecture

• Experience producing HLD/LLD documentation

• Proficiency with Markdown, AsciiDoc, PlantUML

• Use of Architectural Decision Records (ADRs)

• Experience with IBM WebSphere, IBM WebLogic

• Java-based microservices development

• AWS cloud environments

Event-Driven Architecture

• Designing solutions using event-driven principles

• Amazon MQ (RabbitMQ) and Amazon MSK (Kafka)

• Knowledge of IBM MQ (desirable)

APIs & Integration

• API-first design using AWS API Gateway and Kong

• OpenAPI Specification v3.0+

• Integration with external service providers

DevSecOps & Infrastructure

• Infrastructure as Code and deployment specifications

• CI/CD using GitHub Actions, CodeArtifact, Elastic Container Registry

• Familiarity with NCSC Cloud Security Principles

• Shift-left security and secrets management

Cloud & Compute

• AWS Lambda and AWS EKS

• Containerisation standards and service mesh (eg, Istio)

• Observability and scalable microservices architecture
