.NET/C# Developers (Active SC) - Remote - 6 months Contract
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Duration: 6 months (initial)
Rate: £529 per day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required
Role Overview
We are currently seeking experienced .NET/C# Developers to join a high-profile programme delivering secure, scalable solutions within a government/secure environment. This is a fully remote contract opportunity, requiring candidates to hold active SC clearance.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Back End services and applications using modern Microsoft technologies, working within agile delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET/C#
- Build scalable and secure APIs and Back End services
- Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams (including DevOps, QA, and Product)
- Contribute to system design and architecture decisions
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and automated testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application life cycle
- Work within secure environments adhering to compliance standards
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with C# and .NET (Core/.NET 6+)
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with Azure/cloud-based environments
- Knowledge of Entity Framework/ORM tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Front End experience (eg, Angular, React) - beneficial but not essential
- Experience working within government or secure programmes
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures or messaging systems
