Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Contract)

This is initially a rolling contract engagement. For the right person, there is a potential path to a permanent role with equity.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The candidate will design, develop, and deploy a platform that integrates multiple third-party APIs, normalises inconsistent data formats across jurisdictions, and presents clean, structured outputs through a functional dashboard and portal. Responsibilities include owning the full technical stack, making architecture decisions, integrating external data sources, and shipping a working product end to end. The candidate will work directly with the founder and operate as the sole engineer in the early stages, with potential for more hires later on.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in back-end development, with strong experience building systems that integrate multiple third-party APIs and handle inconsistent external data.
• Experience in front-end development, building functional dashboards and user-facing portals.
• Strong background in full-stack development, with the ability to own an entire product from infrastructure to UI.
• Proficiency in Node.js or Python, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS. TypeScript a plus.
• Experience working in early-stage or small-team environments where autonomy and speed are essential.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures, message queues, and async processing patterns is a plus.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. Relevant industry experience (fintech, compliance, data platforms) is a bonus but not required.
