Role - Senior Consultant - Content Strategist

Salary - £65,000 - £70,000 + Additional Lucrative Benefits

Remote with occasional travel to client sites

Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance

Candidates must have 5 years of residency in the UK to be eligible

About the Opportunity

An established consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Content Strategist to join its expanding digital transformation practice. This team partners with leading public and private sector organisations to create modern, user-focused digital services and experiences.

This role will focus on setting the direction for content across large-scale programmes, improving content maturity, and helping organisations deliver clear, accessible, and effective user journeys. You will also play a key role in developing people, improving standards, and growing capability within the wider design function.

Key Responsibilities

Content Leadership

• Create enterprise-wide content strategies that align customer needs with organisational goals
• Define content models, governance frameworks, editorial standards, and approval processes
• Review existing content ecosystems, identify gaps, and build practical improvement roadmaps
• Establish tone of voice and messaging principles across products and services
• Introduce responsible AI tools and automation into content operations where appropriate

Digital Product Delivery

• Lead content direction across websites, platforms, and service journeys
• Use insight from user research, analytics, and feedback to continuously improve experiences
• Ensure accessibility, plain language, and inclusive design principles are embedded throughout delivery
• Collaborate closely with product, technology, research, and delivery teams in Agile environments

Client Engagement & Growth

• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
• Support new business activity including proposals, pitches, and solution shaping
• Help scope workstreams, plan delivery teams, and ensure successful project mobilisation
• Contribute to thought leadership and market-facing capability development

Team & Capability Development

• Mentor and coach Content Designers / Strategists at varying levels
• Support hiring, onboarding, and career development of digital talent
• Drive a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
• Help mature ways of working across the wider UX / Design practice

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in content strategy, content design, or digital communications
• Experience leading teams within consultancy, agency, or complex enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence presenting to senior leaders
• Experience working in Agile product delivery teams
• Track record of improving standards, processes, and delivery capability
• Passion for accessible, user-centred digital experiences
• Familiarity with AI content tools such as Anthropic Claude and OpenAI ChatGPT
