Working with a leading IT Consultancy who are on the search for a Product Owner on a permanent basis.

Your Role
This role requires a confident product owner with a strong consultancy mindset, capable of navigating business challenges while ensuring product success. You'll need to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technical delivery, maintaining a strategic view of the product while also being hands-on with delivery teams.
You'll be part of a fast-paced digital transformation team that thrives on user-centric thinking, creative problem-solving, and delivering impactful digital products and services.
As a Product Owner, you will:
- Take ownership of the product vision and guide teams to deliver high-value outcomes in every sprint.
- Translate business goals and technical constraints into a clear, prioritised product backlog, working closely with business analysts to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Present confidently in client-facing settings, including sprint reviews and stakeholder sessions.
- Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team, stepping in to support business analysis or service design as needed.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience delivering user-focused digital products or services.
- Ideally, familiarity with government digital service standards (GDS) and their associated design principles.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies and delivery practices.
- Strong collaboration skills, especially when working across both business and technical teams to achieve shared outcomes.
- Confidence in prioritising work, managing backlogs, and ensuring that user stories are clearly defined and ready for development.
- Flexibility to contribute beyond your core role whether that's facilitating agile ceremonies, supporting analysis, or advising on service design.
- Natural leadership and influence to guide teams and stakeholders through complex delivery environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning, ideally supported by relevant agile certifications such as PSPO, PSM, or equivalent.
Working with a large IT consultancy that is searching for a Service Designer on a permanent basis. Salary: 55,000 per annum with additional benefits. Candidates must have LIVE SC Clearance.
An overview of the Role
As a Service Designer, you will be joining the growing and exciting Digital Factory community who are continually sharing knowledge and expertise. We are all passionate about user-centered design, critical thinking, problem-solving, and designing and building digital services and products.
Working with our client would give you opportunities to develop and grow, working with major clients in both public and private sectors. Our offices are in a variety of locations including London, Manchester, and Glasgow. We offer hybrid working, however, depending on your project you may have to travel to client locations.
Skills you'll need:
Essential:
- Proven experience working across a service design process, autonomously with minimal support
- Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, applying GDS design principles
- Ability to create service design artefacts and outputs, such as current and future-state user journeys, personas, service concepts, service blueprints and other artefacts
- Client readiness, with experience facilitating workshops, design sprints, ideation sessions or similar
- Ability to visualise complex services in an easy-to-understand format for varying audiences
- Ability to adopt a curious and inquisitive mindset with a passion for asking why
- Ability to critically break down complex problems in a fast-paced environment, with a knack for storytelling
- Strong understanding and experience of working in an agile (scrum) environment in a cross-functional team including but not limited to user researchers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, product owners, delivery managers and developers
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a tight timeframe with a proactive mindset
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing views as part of the design process
- Being an advocate for user-centricity, with the ability to develop and translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs and engage in meaningful interactions and relationships with users
- You will either already have SC (Security Check) Clearance or you are able to qualify for this level of clearance (by being a UK resident for at least 3 years and not having left the country for more than 6 consecutive months during this period)
