Remote - 1-2 days on site a month Halifax

We’re hiring a Data Architect to play a key role in modernising a growing enterprise data platform moving from on-prem to a scalable, cloud-based environment.

This is a high-impact role sitting between engineering and architecture, ideal for someone who enjoys building data environments from the ground up and shaping best practices across the business.

The role:

• Own and evolve the Databricks roadmap (including Unity Catalog & DLT)
• Design scalable data architectures, pipelines, and integration patterns
• Lead on data modelling (enterprise + solution level) and architecture standards
• Act as a design authority, ensuring governance and best practice
• Support teams transitioning to a modern lakehouse environment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business goals

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Databricks experience (Unity Catalog, DLT, pipelines)
• Proven track record building data environments end-to-end
• Deep understanding of data modelling (Data Vault, Kimball, etc.)
• Experience with cloud + hybrid architectures (data lake/warehouse/lakehouse)
• Confident working with stakeholders and driving adoption of new solutions

Remote first with monthly travel to Halifax (or UK hubs)
