Digital Transformation Internship

Duration: 200 hours – full time or part time consideredOmersa & Company Ltd is a heritage British manufacturer known worldwide for its handcrafted leather animal footstools and decorative pieces. Founded in 1927, the company has built a reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.As Omersa enters a new phase of growth and leadership transition, they are seeking a digitally skilled intern to help them modernise their operations and prepare for future ERP system implementation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a real-world digital transformation project within a creative SME environment.  Key Responsibilities:

• Review and categorise manual spreadsheets and paper-based records to identify key data sources and duplication.
• Document current workflows and propose simplified digital processes to support ERP planning.
• Design and trial automated templates and dashboards to improve reporting and data visibility.
• Create training resources to support staff adoption of new digital tools.
• Collaborate with the team to refine solutions and contribute to Omersa’s digital transformation journey.

About You:

• Studying or recently graduated in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with workflow mapping or dashboard creation e.g. Power BI
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation technologies.
• Interest in ERP systems, automation tools, and SME digital transformation would be an advantage.

  The internship is due to start in October 2025 and run for approximately 200 hours . If you are studying in the East Midlands, you may be able to complete the internship part time around your studies.
