Graduate Software Engineer - AI

Looking for a role where you can apply your technical skills and knowledge to develop automation systems for a leading UK manufacturer? This may be the opportunity for you! This automation specialist business is looking for a technological graduate to design and build internal software tools to improve the automation creation process. The role also includes creating an internal platform that enables colleagues to safely build and deploy lightweight tools within a controlled framework. Your key responsibilities will be: 
  • Build applications for financial modelling, system setup and commercial dashboards, replacing manual spreadsheets with organised software.
  • Develop internal platforms with clean development practices, including version control, deployment processes, structured data and managed user access.
  • Integrate practical AI solutions to improve workflows such as document analysis, data processing and information retrieval.
  • Support colleagues by creating templates, documentation and guidance to help them build simple internal tools.
 To fulfil this role, the business is looking for a candidate who has a university degree in an applicable subject area such as software engineering, computer science, AI and robotics. Other relevant degrees will be considered if you have suitable knowledge, such as a project/internship within this field that shows clear evidence of building software that has provided you transferable skills.Additionally, they are seeking someone with strong foundations in software development, structured data and APIs and an ability to problem solve when facing operational problems. You will need to be confident in explaining technical concepts to a range of colleagues and have a strong interest in technology software and its impact on real world engineering systems.What We Offer

 The role is located in Nottingham and is full time working 40 hours a week with an immediate start. The salary bracket for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.This is a great chance to start your career in a growing sector, with a company that's making a real difference.
