Maintenance & Reliability ManagerSalary: 60,000 depending on experienceManufacturing Engineering Reliability Continuous ImprovementAn established UK manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager to strengthen its engineering function and drive improvements in asset performance, equipment reliability and production efficiency.This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working where maintenance, manufacturing, data and continuous improvement come together.You’ll play a key role in improving the reliability of critical production assets, reducing unplanned downtime and developing a more proactive approach to maintenance across a multi-site manufacturing environment.The Role Working closely with engineering, production and quality teams, you’ll use maintenance data, engineering knowledge and structured problem-solving techniques to identify recurring failures and deliver sustainable improvements. Your responsibilities will include:Developing and delivering a long-term maintenance and reliability strategyAnalysing equipment performance, downtime, failure trends and maintenance dataIdentifying critical assets and reducing operational riskLeading root cause analysis and failure elimination programmesDeveloping reliability-centred maintenance and FMEA-based approachesImproving planned preventative maintenance and asset care programmesIntroducing and developing condition-based and predictive maintenance techniquesEstablishing robust maintenance standards and proceduresUsing CMMS information and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesWorking with production teams to improve machine availability and outputSupporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activityCoaching and developing maintenance engineers in reliability-focused practicesProviding engineering leadership and management support across multiple manufacturing locations when requiredAbout You You’ll be an experienced multi-skilled engineer, maintenance professional or reliability specialist with a strong background in a manufacturing environment.We’re particularly interested in people with experience of automated or high-volume manufacturing, although experience from other complex production environments will be considered.
