Role overview

As the project manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a projects from inception through to completion. This includes planning, execution, management of resources, milestones and closure of a project. You will ensure the scope, quality and direction of each project is on schedule and within budget.

What you’ll do:

  • Organise and manage delivery of concurrent projects of varying size and complexity with client collaboration and transparency
  • Plan and define project objectives with key stakeholders
  • Ensure that projects are running according to time, cost and quality constraints
  • Responsible for proactively monitoring and controlling budgets whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Manage and lead assigned project teams ensuring a positive, motivated and professional team dynamic
  • Communicate with project teams and maintain motivation and vision of project objectives
  • Identify potential resource conflicts and suggest resolutions or escalate/refer as appropriate
  • Produce clear and timely project progress reports, schedules, budgets, plans and documentation
  • Set up and maintain project backlogs on behalf of your team and client, using Microsoft DevOps
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client and be able to negotiate and gain clients and key stakeholder agreement and maintain satisfaction
  • Build effective relationships internally and externally, and manage the relationship between Storm ID project teams and clients
  • Identify and review project risks and managing those risks appropriately, providing contingency plans or mitigation
  • Manage changes to the project as and when necessary
  • Participate actively in lessons learned exercises and ensure applicable lessons are captured and incorporated into future projects
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Use project management software and Microsoft Office packages
  • Carry out any other duties as directed from time to time

About you:

  • You’ll be passionate about digital transformation and making a difference to clients
  • Able to demonstrate experience in an IT industry project management role, preferably in digital consultancy servicing public sector clients
  • Detail focused, a proactive planner and tracker of results
  • An excellent communicator, adept at influencing stakeholders both internal and external
  • Critical thinker with an ability to find solutions to problems
  • Adaptable, empathetic and confident at managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Comfortable managing multiple digital projects simultaneously
