The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high standards in a mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain electrical systems across the facility to the highest industry and safety standards.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive work across electrical plant and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve faults across key systems including lighting, power distribution, HVAC, fire safety, BMS, and UPS systems.
Complete site logs and documentation using computer-based maintenance systems.
Support plant installations, upgrades, and modifications as required.
Ensure accurate communication with supervisors regarding plant condition, issues, isolations, and ongoing work.
Maintain exceptional housekeeping and H&S standards across all working areas.
Electrical Distribution Panels (single & three phase)
UPS & Generator systems
Emergency and general lighting
BMS and HVAC systems (AHUs, VAVs, FCUs)
Fire suppression and detection systems
Variable speed drives and control systems
High Voltage (HV) systems (training provided where applicable)
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent
18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (essential)
Experience in building services or critical environments (data centres preferred but not essential)
Good working knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and safety regulations
Strong communication and fault-finding abilities
HV Authorised Person certification (preferred, but not essential)
Confined space training (advantageous)
Willingness to attend further training and development as needed
Technically competent with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
Clear communicator who works well in a shift-based team
Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious
Keen to grow within a fast-paced and rapidly evolving sector
