JAVA Full stack Developer
Job Title: JAVA Full Stack Developer Location: Glasgow (Hybrid, 3-5 days onsite) Contract Duration: 6 Months Day Rate: Market Rate (Inside IR35) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled JAVA Full Stack Developer to join an agile team delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing software applications, troubleshooting issues, and mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deliver high-quality technology products within an agile framework. Execute creative software solutions and troubleshoot complex technical problems. Develop secure, maintainable production code and review/debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks to improve application stability. Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of best practices and new technologies. Mentor, guide, and coach junior software engineers. Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately captured and delivered. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support software lifecycle processes. Contribute to application security, resiliency, and performance optimization. Essential Skills & Experience: Strong hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular, JavaScript, and REST APIs. Experience with relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra). Knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA. Experience deploying Microservices to cloud platforms (preferably AWS). Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. End-to-end experience across the software development lifecycle. Exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and application resiliency practices. Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber. Ability to manage expectations and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. Desirable: Hands-on experience or certification with AWS. Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow.
