About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Camunda Developer to design, develop, and deploy business process automation solutions using the Camunda BPM platform. This role is pivotal in building scalable, process-driven applications that streamline business workflows and decision-making.
You will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and developers to deliver high-quality workflow orchestration solutions. This long-term contract offers the opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives within a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement BPMN workflows and DMN decision tables using Camunda.
  • Develop custom Java delegates and external task workers.
  • Integrate Camunda with REST APIs, microservices, and third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimise, maintain, and troubleshoot existing Camunda workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in process modelling, versioning, and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Monitor and maintain Camunda engine performance and reliability.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for workflows, decision tables, and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience with Camunda BPM (v7 or v8 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN standards.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with the external task pattern and Zeebe (Camunda 8).
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Camunda Certified Developer (advantageous).
  • Exposure to Front End technologies (React, Angular) for task forms.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
