Role Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a UK Product Team. You will work with modern technologies including Angular and AWS, contributing to client-facing solutions across Transfers and Onboarding journeys (ISA, SIPP, JISA, GA). The team operates using agile methodologies and a continuous delivery pipeline. This role requires a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to quality, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver new business-facing solutions, reviewing functional specifications and translating them into technical requirements.
- Support user acceptance testing and provide 3rd line support where necessary.
- Follow coding and documentation standards, including peer reviews.
- Work across multiple priorities with an agile and DevOps mindset.
- Contribute to high-quality code with a strong focus on client experience.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and with business stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Background in Finance, Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
- Strong experience with Angular 12+ and enterprise-level web applications.
- Good knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and RESTful APIs.
- Proficient with TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and responsive design.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies (Step Functions, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
- Unit testing experience using Jest or Jasmine; E2E testing with Playwright.
- Experience integrating with microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Splunk for logging/monitoring.
- Knowledge of NodeJS, NestJS and AEM beneficial.
Desirable Skills
- Experience collaborating with developers, UX, product managers and operations.
- Interest in pair programming and UX best practices.
- Good understanding of agile methodologies.
- Experience with GitHub.
- Knowledge of the investment management domain.
