Job Title: Salesforce Architect
Location: Northampton (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site per week)
Contract Duration: Until 31st December 2026
Day Rate: £382.50 (Inside IR35)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex Salesforce solutions. In this pivotal role, you will shape the organisation's Salesforce platform strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives while driving innovation and scalability.
You will be responsible for creating robust, secure, and future-proof solutions across multiple Salesforce clouds, collaborating with business and technical teams, and providing leadership in governance, integration, and architectural best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Develop and maintain a Salesforce architecture roadmap, covering data models, integrations, and customisations.
  • Design and deliver scalable, secure solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce products.
  • Produce technical design documents, architectural diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Conduct architectural reviews to ensure compliance with Salesforce best practices.

Platform Expertise & Leadership
  • Maintain deep expertise in Salesforce capabilities, releases, and features.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
  • Recommend Salesforce tools and technologies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Define and enforce development standards, coding practices, and governance policies.

Integration & Data Management
  • Design and deliver complex integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
  • Develop and execute data migration strategies, ensuring quality and integrity.
  • Optimise data models for performance, scalability, and compliance.
  • Enforce strong data governance and security practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Communicate architectural strategies and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present architectural recommendations to senior leadership and facilitate requirement workshops.

Security & Compliance
  • Ensure Salesforce solutions adhere to security and compliance regulations (eg, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Implement security controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Conduct security assessments and proactively address potential risks.

Your Profile

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Extensive Salesforce platform experience, including configuration, customisation, and development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency with integration tools and technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware).
  • Solid knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable
  • Salesforce certifications such as Certified Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Platform Developer.
  • Previous experience leading large-scale Salesforce transformation programmes.
