A leading retailer are building a brand new Front End Team and are looking for accomplished Senior Front End Developers (Vue, Nuxt) to help shape the future of their website offering. This is a high-impact role where engineering excellence meets design precision-your work will directly influence how millions of global customers affect their online experience.

As a Senior Front End Developer you'll lead by example, writing elegant, performant code, mentoring developers, and driving UI strategy across web and mobile platforms. You'll collaborate closely with the product owners, UX designers, full stack engineers, and platform partners to deliver polished, accessible, and scalable interfaces that set the standard for luxury E-commerce.

Responsibilities

* Implement scalable, secure, performant and accessible Front End solutions using HTML, CSS and modern frameworks (eg Vue 3, Nuxt 3, TypeScript).
* Translate UX designs and prototypes into production-ready code with pixel-perfect precision.
* Integrate Front End components with APIs and Back End services, ensuring seamless data flow and performance.
* Champion Front End best practices, including testing, CI/CD, performance optimisation, and accessibility compliance.
* Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and technical mentoring for junior developers.
* Work closely with Product Owners, Platform Leads, UX/UI Designers, QA, and Backend teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centric solutions.
* Work with DevOps to monitor website performance, Core Web Vitals, and user behaviour analytics to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Skills/Experience

* Strong proficiency building responsive, pixel-perfect websites using modern Front End frameworks (Vue 3, Nuxt 3, Node.js), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, Tailwind CSS. Initial knowledge of Vue Storefront and the Scayle Ecommerce platform is an advantage
* Proven experience building enterprise-grade Front End applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.
* Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimisation, and browser rendering behaviour.
* Experience with Front End build tools, testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest or Vitest) and CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong API integration skills, consuming and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with an understanding of security mechanisms.
* Proficiency with development tools including Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, and GitHub.
* Solid understanding of SEO principles, structured data, content delivery strategies, as well as security best practices, accessibility standards, and GDPR & PECR compliance.
* Experience using backlog management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
