Pay: outside IR35, up to £550 p/day
We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Senior Software Engineer with deep core knowledge of Temenos Transact (T24). You will play a key role in the design and delivery of robust software solutions that directly influence business outcomes and shape the ongoing evolution of the T24 technology strategy.
This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for someone who is technically strong, collaborative by nature, and passionate about clean, extensible, and supportable code. If you thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment and enjoy working on systems that have real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions using T24 technologies
- Guide and support the team throughout the development life cycle
- Promote continuous delivery practices including iterative development, test automation, and frequent releases
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership across the team
- Write clean, efficient code with appropriate documentation and unit testing
- Conduct peer reviews and offer constructive feedback on code and technical designs
- Champion engineering excellence and help shape team culture and best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- Temenos Transact (T24) Expertise
- Deep hands-on experience with T24 including L3 code development
- Proficient with InfoBasic, TAFJ componentised code, and OFS processing
- Experienced with version APIs, enquiry APIs, Core API hooks, and multi-thread routines
- Strong knowledge of T24 customisation, data model, and Oracle storage
- Solid understanding of SWIFT, delivery advice workflows, and corporate actions
- Working knowledge of Securities Trading, administration and related modules
Engineering & Delivery
- Demonstrated success across the full software development life cycle
- Strong background in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), story writing and backlog grooming
- Advocate for testability and modern testing approaches including shift-left principles
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of system integration patterns and related technologies
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with Temenos Integration Framework, IRIS, JBoss
- Understanding of channel interface configurations: BROWSER, IB, DFE, Data Warehouse
- Experience with Core Java
- Oracle Database administration or tuning knowledge
