Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Bus Sector will play a pivotal role in driving Streamax’s growth within the public transportation market. The ideal candidate will have experience in the bus industry, a deep understanding of the transportation landscape, and a proven track record of sales success. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the bus sector, including public and private transportation companies, municipalities, and fleet operators.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Conduct market research to understand the evolving demands of the bus sector and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Product Knowledge & Consultation: Promote Streamax’s innovative surveillance solutions and technology to customers. Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Negotiation & Closing Deals: Lead negotiations and close contracts with new and existing clients, ensuring targets are met and business objectives are achieved.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer support, to align business development efforts and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and market activities to senior management.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales within the bus or transportation sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the bus industry, including knowledge of fleet management, public transport operations, and relevant regulations.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of sales success, with the ability to drive business growth and meet sales targets.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and key clients.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology Savvy: Familiarity with surveillance solutions, fleet management systems, or related technologies is a plus.
  • Location: Based in the UK, with flexibility for remote work or travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with bus fleet operators, public transport authorities, or government agencies.
  • Familiarity with the UK public transportation industry and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and managing large-scale projects.
