Network Engineer - Bristol - French Speaking - HPE Aruba - Contract

A global financial institution is looking for a Network Engineer with strong HPE Aruba expertise to join its User Access Network function in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering the organisation's migration from Cisco to Aruba, so solid hands-on Aruba experience is critical.

Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)
Contract: Initial 3 months, rolling for at least 12 months
Language: Fluent French and English required

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support HPE Aruba LAN and WLAN implementation and configuration.

• Participate in the Cisco-to-Aruba migration across enterprise sites.

• Provide Level 3 support and problem resolution for complex network issues.

• Produce and maintain HLDs, LLDs, and configuration documentation.

• Contribute to global projects and collaborate with network teams across regions.

• Support automation initiatives using Scripting and APIs.

Key Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience with HPE Aruba switching, wireless, and ClearPass.

• Proven track record delivering Aruba deployments or migrations from Cisco.

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, OSPF, BGP, QoS, 802.1X, and RADIUS/TACACS+.

• Experience with Aruba Central, ClearPass Policy Manager, and Cisco ISE.

• Familiarity with network automation (Python/Shell/Perl).

• Understanding of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Logic Monitor.

• Professional certifications (Aruba or Cisco) highly desirable.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Fluent in French and English (essential).
