Power Platform Architect - Contract

We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Architect to join a major digital transformation programme within a large-scale, enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver innovative solutions across a complex organisation undergoing significant business and technology change.

The successful candidate will play a key role in defining architecture, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring best practice adoption across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end architecture for enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions.
  • Design scalable, secure and high-performing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural governance across multiple workstreams.
  • Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust solution designs.
  • Establish architecture standards, design patterns and best practices across the programme.
  • Lead solution design workshops and provide guidance to development teams.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with integration, cloud, security and data teams to deliver seamless enterprise solutions.
  • Review and assure technical designs, code quality and deployment approaches.
  • Support estimation, planning and delivery activities within Agile teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Power Platform Architect within large enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise across:
    • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)
    • Power Automate
    • Power Pages
    • Microsoft Dataverse
    • Power BI
  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale Microsoft solutions.
  • Proven experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Azure services, APIs and third-party systems.
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, ALM and DevOps practices within the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Experience defining architecture standards, reusable components and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at both business and technical levels.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within large, complex operational or infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Functions and API Management.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and automated deployments.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
