Python Developer - London - Investment Management

We're hiring an experienced Python Developer for a 6-month contract with a leading Investment Manager based in London. This role focuses on application development and API engineering and NOT Data Engineering or GenAI.

HYBRID WORKING - LONDON 3 DAYS

You will build and maintain Back End services and APIs using Python, working closely with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment. Strong core Python skills and clear communication are essential.

Key Requirements:

• 5-12 years' experience as a hands-on Python Developer
• Strong understanding of core Python (OOP, data structures, algorithms)
• Experience building applications and RESTful APIs (FastAPI/Flask/Django acceptable but not required)
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS
  
• Exposure to Terraform and understanding of EKS (nice to have)
• Ability to explain solutions clearly and work effectively in a client-facing environment
• Experience in financial services, especially Fixed Income
