Senior Java Developer - 3 Days Travel in Leeds - Inside IR 35

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join a leading organisation in the financial services industry. This is an exciting contract role requiring strong expertise in modern Java development and microservices architecture, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model (3 days onsite in Leeds, 2 days remote).

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (versions 8-17) and knowledge of version-specific features.

• Proven expertise in Microservices development using Spring Boot, including security, transactions, idempotency, distributed caching, log tracing, and containerization.

• Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPS concepts, and Design Patterns.

• Experience with Multithreading, concurrency APIs, and Java Memory Management (JMM).

• Proficiency in working with RDBMS/NoSQL databases and writing advanced SQL queries.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka (or other messaging brokers).

• Practical knowledge in building RESTful APIs, consuming services, and working with Spring Cloud.

• Familiarity with logging frameworks (SLF4J/LogBack/Log4j).

• Strong testing background using JUnit, Mockito, Powermock, and build/versioning tools (Maven/Gradle, Git/SVN).

• Experience with cloud deployment and development.

Nice to Have

• Cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Experience in distributed computing and building scalable systems.

• Exposure to ReactJS, NodeJS, or WebFlux.
