.NET Developer (AWS/Kubernetes/Cloud Native) - London

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer with deep AWS cloud expertise to join a major digital transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications within a highly collaborative engineering environment.

The successful candidate will be a strong hands-on engineer with extensive experience building, deploying and supporting modern microservices applications on AWS, leveraging containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, resilient cloud-native applications using C#, .NET Core and AWS.
  • Design and implement microservices architectures running on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Build highly available, event-driven systems using messaging, queues and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable automated and reliable software delivery.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions and support automated deployment strategies.
  • Participate in technical design sessions, architecture discussions and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure and production issues.
  • Champion engineering best practices, quality standards and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8-10+ years' commercial software development experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
  • Strong commercial experience designing, developing and deploying applications on AWS.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services and cloud-native architecture principles.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes and containerised application deployment.
  • Strong experience building cloud-native microservices architectures.
  • Experience working with messaging and integration technologies including Kafka, Amazon SQS, REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and GitOps practices.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong SQL and database experience, including PostgreSQL.
  • Very comfortable working within both Linux and Windows CLI environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to observability and monitoring tooling within AWS environments.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of security best practices within cloud-native architectures.
