.NET Developer - Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join a high-profile digital transformation programme within a leading consultancy environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale enterprise project, delivering innovative solutions within a collaborative, fast-paced team.

The successful candidate will be a strong hands-on developer with extensive experience across the Microsoft technology stack and a passion for building high-quality, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using .NET technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop robust, scalable and maintainable code following best practice and coding standards.
  • Participate in technical design sessions, code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot, optimise and enhance existing applications and services.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and tooling.

Essential Skills & Experience

8-10 years' commercial software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core development.
Extensive experience with object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server and database design principles.
Experience with source control and CI/CD practices (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience developing modern Front End applications using Blazor.
Exposure to DevExpress UI components and frameworks.
Experience working on large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
Experience within consulting or client-facing environments.
