Aladdin Business Analyst - London - Asset & Investment Management - Strike IT

We are seeking an experienced Aladdin Business Analyst for a 12-month contract with a leading Investment Manager based in London. The successful candidate will have deep, hands-on Aladdin expertise and a strong background in Asset & Investment Management , with proven ability to bridge business and technology across Investments and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary BA for Aladdin-related projects, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered.
• Gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements from front, middle, and back-office stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements within Aladdin Operations workflows (trade processing, settlement, reconciliations, compliance, cash management, controls, reporting).
• Support Investment users by analysing and optimising Aladdin front-office workflows , including portfolio management, order management, compliance rules, and risk monitoring.
• Manage configuration activities within Aladdin, including user setup, entitlements, data mapping, and integration touchpoints with upstream/downstream systems.
• Collaborate with Aladdin users to identify gaps, pain points, and new functionality opportunities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology teams and third-party vendors.
• Oversee testing, validation, and change management, ensuring successful adoption of new Aladdin releases, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Maintain expertise in Aladdin modules (e.g. Order Management, Compliance, Data Management, Risk, Reporting, Aladdin Accounting), advising on best practices and industry usage.

Expereince

• Proven Aladdin BA experience – must have worked extensively with Aladdin in an Asset & Investment Management environment.
• Strong knowledge of Aladdin modules across Operations (preferred) and Investments.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Order & trade workflows
  • Compliance rule coding and testing
  • Data and benchmark setup within Aladdin
  • User groups, entitlements, and permissioning
  • Integration with external systems (market data, accounting, risk, custodians, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of the Asset Management industry, including both Investment and Operations processes.
• Stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage across business and technology teams.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale Aladdin implementations, migrations, or optimisation programmes is highly desirable.
