Are you passionate about coding and eager to grow your skills in a supportive, fast-paced retail environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and expanding high street retailer as a Junior Developer. Youll be part of a collaborative development team working in an Agile environment using SCRUM methodology, with access to the latest tools and technologies through a full MSDN subscription.
Ke y Responsibilities:
Youll play a key role in the development and support of several business-critical applications, including:Stores Intranet built with C#, Bootstrap, and SQL ServerStock Management and Order & Collect developed using Xamarin/Flutter and .NET CoreYour responsibilities will include:Developing and maintaining internal applicationsGathering and defining business requirementsWriting, testing, documenting, and implementing software solutionsCollaborating with third-party support partners and acting as a technical liaisonSupporting and enhancing existing systemsDeveloping DevOps pipelines.
What Were Looking For
1+ year of experience with the Microsoft Development Stack or a relevant degree in Computer Science or related fieldProficiency in:Visual Studio.NET Framework (4.6+) and MVC 5SQL Server (20082022)Microsoft Windows (711)Understanding of source control (GIT experience is a plus)Familiarity with the software development lifecycleStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDesirable SkillsExperience with mobile app developmentExposure to Azure DevOps and FirebaseA proactive attitude toward learning new technologiesAbility to work in a complex, evolving technical environmentAdditional ResponsibilitiesDesign software with a focus on efficiency and maintainabilityCreate and manage databases following industry standardsEnsure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to development guidelinesWrite and execute unit testsProvide documentation and training for internal usersSupport system changes in line with change control procedures
