Senior AEM Developer - Remote

Supreme Optimization is looking for a Senior AEM Developer to help support our growing client base with enterprise-level content management solutions.

Role Title: Senior AEM DeveloperRole Mission: Working with our existing development teams and project managers to maintain, optimize, and improve client websites built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Make technical decisions and provide clear technical support including minor bugs, monthly maintenance, and content changes via ticketing system and support desk. Keep us in the forefront of technological changes. Someone with a keen interest in automation using ChatGPT.

- Provide custom solutions to client development requests and problems for AEM-based websites
- Support and Lead AEM based Web Development projects.
- Support our existing development teams by processing complex AEM client support requests (including bug reports and 'how to' requests)
- Make technical decisions and support Project Managers by client facing to help answer technical questions
- Work with our Project Managers and DevOps to review existing client AEM websites for development improvements and general optimization
- Encourage technical innovation throughout the agency
- Make technical architecture decisions for AEM implementations
- 5+ years of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience including component development, template creation, and content management
- 5+ years of developing and implementing efficient code in Java, HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Strong experience with AEM's architecture including OSGi services, Sling framework, and JCR repository
- Experience with AEM authoring and publishing environments, dispatcher configuration, and content workflows
- Have expertise as a frontend/backend developer and be aware of UI/UX design principles
- A good understanding and focus on performance-orientated programming to ensure our websites excel at Page Speed and other usability and conversion metrics
- Proficiency using Git Version Control and Maven build processes
- Basic knowledge using command-line tools such as basic SSH Linux server management
- Good interpersonal skills to allow working with Clients and Project Managers to correctly identify and convert requirements and requests into actionable requests

- Any Adobe certifications (AEM Developer Certified Expert, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc.)

- Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service
- Knowledge of AEM Commerce framework
- Rudimentary Python experience
- Technical background / education preferred
- Experience at a marketing or web development agency (not required but a bonus)
- Experience working with Jira and/or Trello
- Visual eye for design vs development
- Experience of automated testing (preferably JUnit and Selenium)
- Experience of using Version Control systems such as Git as part of a team
- Experience working with AWS, Adobe Managed Services, and cloud deployment strategies
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 GBP/year (based on experience and performance)
