Our client, a best-in-class globally recognised strategic advisory firm, is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join their growing technology team.
Reporting to the Group Head of ICT Infrastructure, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining Azure-based infrastructure, with a strong focus on supporting cutting-edge AI and LLM-driven platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern, cloud-native solutions in a business actively investing in AI technologies.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong background in Azure, infrastructure as code, and containerised environments, looking to step into a more strategic and forward-thinking environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Azure-based infrastructure in collaboration with Solutions Architects and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/ARM), supporting consistent and automated deployments.
- Support and enhance cloud platforms underpinning AI and LLM-based solutions.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line teams, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues (including occasional out-of-hours support).
- Work closely with project managers, security teams, and wider IT functions to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Maintain clear infrastructure documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Ensure all deployments align with security best practices and ISO standards.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM templates)
- Experience supporting or deploying AI / ML / LLM-based platforms (or strong interest in this area)
- Solid understanding of containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VNets, firewalls, etc.)
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure
- Awareness of cloud cost optimisation principles
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
