Product Manager
Product Manager (AI Development)
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + benefits
Location: London / Hybrid
(Sponsorship cannot be provided)
We’re working with a high-profile, international organisation that is investing heavily in AI and building out a dedicated team focused on developing practical, high-impact AI products and capabilities.
This is an opportunity for an experienced AI Product Manager to join a growing AI function and play a key role in identifying, shaping and delivering new AI-enabled products from the ground up.
You’ll sit at the intersection of business, users and technology, working closely with technical teams to turn complex or ambiguous problems into products that deliver genuine commercial and operational value.
The Opportunity
The role will focus heavily on product discovery and innovation rather than simply managing an existing product roadmap.
You’ll be expected to identify opportunities, understand the underlying user need, test whether an idea is worth pursuing and then work with engineering teams to turn the strongest concepts into working products.
You’ll have responsibility for:
- Identifying opportunities where AI can solve meaningful business problems or create new capabilities.
- Leading product discovery, including understanding user needs, business challenges and potential use cases.
- Turning early-stage ideas into clear product concepts, user journeys, requirements and prototypes.
- Working closely with AI Engineers and technical specialists throughout development.
- Making informed decisions around what to build, what not to build and where resources should be focused.
- Owning and prioritising product roadmaps and backlogs across a portfolio of AI initiatives.
- Running rapid pilots, experiments and user testing to validate ideas before significant investment is made.
- Using data, feedback and evidence to determine whether products should be scaled, adapted or stopped.
- Ensuring appropriate consideration is given to AI governance, privacy, security, safety and responsible AI throughout product development.
- Identifying opportunities to create reusable AI capabilities that can be applied across multiple areas of the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, users and technical teams.
- Keeping up to date with emerging developments in AI and identifying where new technologies could create meaningful opportunities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines strong product management fundamentals with a genuine understanding of AI and emerging technology.
You’ll be comfortable operating in an environment where the answers aren’t always obvious, taking ideas from an early-stage concept through experimentation and into a scalable product.
You should have:
- 5+ years’ experience in product management across digital, software, data or AI-enabled products.
- A proven track record of taking products or new capabilities from discovery and concept through to launch and iteration.
- Strong product discovery and user research skills, with the ability to identify the problem before jumping to the solution.
- Experience translating complex or ambiguous business requirements into clear product requirements for technical teams.
- Strong prioritisation and commercial judgement, with the ability to balance user value, technical complexity, resources and speed.
- Experience working closely with software engineers, data scientists or other technical specialists.
- A good technical understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models, including areas such as RAG, AI agents, orchestration and evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish between interesting technology and genuinely valuable products.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A curious, collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in keeping pace with a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Building products using Generative AI, LLMs or other emerging technologies.
- Rapid prototyping, experimentation or innovation-led product development.
- Developing bespoke internal products or enterprise technology solutions.
- Working within professional services, consultancy, advisory, financial services or another complex stakeholder environment.
- Taking early-stage AI concepts through discovery → prototype → pilot → launch → iteration.
