PACS/RIS Senior System Analyst

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PACS/RIS Senior System Analyst (Band 5) to join the Diagnostic Imaging department at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, based at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley.

The post holder will proactively support the day-to-day delivery of an effective and efficient Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) across all SASH sites, including East Surrey, Crawley, Horsham, Caterham and the CDC Belfry.

Key aspects of the role include managing the Image Exchange Portal (IEP) service to ensure timely transfer of imaging, producing statistical reports and business data analysis using Excel, Access and Power BI, providing first-line technical support and training for systems including RIS, PACS, IEP, ICE and VR, and supporting the testing and implementation of system upgrades. The role also involves installing, configuring and troubleshooting workstations, maintaining system documentation, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams, the Trust IT department and third-party suppliers.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, be highly IT literate with strong Excel and Access skills and have a proven ability to work with IT systems, hardware and software. Experience in a hospital or Diagnostic Imaging environment is desirable. Flexibility to work across sites is essential.
