We're seeking an enthusiastic Deputy e-Rostering Team Lead to help drive high-quality, efficient rostering across Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You will support the management and development of our e-Rostering system (Allocate Optima), deliver training to staff, and act as a key point of contact for advice and troubleshooting.
In this role, you will supervise e-Rostering Coordinators and Administrators, ensure data quality, assist with system upgrades, and produce performance reports to support effective workforce planning. You will also help embed best practice and support service areas in improving roster efficiency.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure that a high-quality service is provided by the eRostering team which supports the achievement of both national and local key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective and efficient rostering.
- To lead on designing, promoting and delivering e-Rostering Training across the Trust, through online and face to face training sessions, as well as written/recorded userguides.
- To support the e-Rostering Team Lead with ensuring that the Trust is compliant with its e-Rostering and Safer Staffing Policy by reviewing e-Rostering processes and practices.
- To identify, manage, and provide assurance on risks and issues ensuring mitigation and contingency plans are in place.
- To support the e-Rostering Team Lead in conducting reviews of activity, rostering demand and budgeted establishments. This includes reviewing past performance, identifying areas of low efficiency and suggesting corrective actions to improve performance.
- To produce accurate and timely reports based on agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as required and distributing as agreed by the e-Rostering Team Lead.
- To provide data on an ad hoc basis as required within Divisions, highlighting trends and establishment concerns to assist the services in matching staffing levels to patient demand.
- To support the e-Rostering Team Lead in analysing and auditing data quality in the e-Rostering system.

Job responsibilities
As a senior member of the Workforce Planning, Systems and Intelligence Team, the Deputy e-Rostering Team Lead, will support the e-Rostering Team Lead in providing specialist advice in all aspects of Electronic Rostering (e-Rostering), and will support the implementation and ongoing management of the Trusts' eRostering system.
The post holder will provide training to e-Rostering users within the People and Culture Directorate and across the whole Trust. They will also act as the visible and accessible point of contact for advice, guidance, support on all aspects of e-Rostering.
The role will be responsible for providing supervision to the e-Rostering workforce team, ensuring all team processes are clearly documented and reviewed regularly.

Qualifications
- Education to degree level or equivalent level of experience
Knowledge/Experience
- Experience of using, inputting and extracting information from HR/Payroll systems
- Experience of supervising a team
- Experience of participation in projects and using databases
- Experience of introducing changes to working practices, policies and systems and sustaining improvements
- Experience of using E- Rostering systems and knowledge of good rostering practices
- Experience of data collection and analysis
