QA Engineer

Due to a period of rapid growth, we're delighted to be growing our tech team, and welcoming new applications for a QA Engineer.

The Role

Within this role, you'll work with the Customer Service and Development teams to facilitate testing of new features, aid in the identification and reporting of bugs, and provide insights from test frameworks to increase coverage and completeness of ticket testing.

Job Description:

Day-to-day, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop tests and test plans in accordance with the company requirements
  • Carry out routine inspections of the web application, detailing any issues/bugs and creating tickets for them
  • Facilitating performance testing of the web application, determine baselines and identify corrections to improve the performance
  • Introduce new frameworks or methodologies as part of the test process, work with the development team to implement them
  • Identify root causes of issues, and provide solutions where possible
  • Collaborate with the extended team for the identification of issues, extending ticket scope to encompass known issues, and feed back solutions to the extended team

Person Specification:

  • 2+ years of QA or test engineering
  • Strong understanding of manual, automated automation or frameworks
  • Ability to define test plans and produce documentation around them
  • Experience with team collaborations involving developers and other stakeholders
  • Experience in prioritising tests based upon stakeholder needs
  • Familiarity with agile ceremonies and sprint planning
  • Comfortable with performance and API testing as needed
  • Confident managing reporting, documentation, and QA standards
