Software Test Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Manual Test Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in web application testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals, various types of testing, and hands-on experience in identifying test scenarios from the user story, writing test cases, defect reporting and tracking.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality and eager to grow in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Design, write, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios for web applications
• Perform various types of testing including:

Smoke Testing

Sanity Testing

Functional Testing

Regression Testing

UI & Usability Testing

• Execute test cases and document test results clearly.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Perform re-testing and regression testing after defect fixes.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and senior QA engineers.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in manual testing of web applications.

Strong understanding of:

• SDLC & STLC
• Testing methodologies
• Test case design techniques

Hands-on experience in:

• Test case creation & execution
• Defect lifecycle management

• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic browser developer tools (nice to have).
• Experience with at least one test/defect management tool (Jira, TestRail, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
