Clinical Systems Administrator

Job summary

This is an important specialist role supporting clinicians and staff to use digital systems effectively, safely, and consistently to deliver high quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

Administer and configure TPP SystmOne, including user access, templates, workflows, and reporting

Support and optimise integrated digital tools such as AccuRx, online consultations, NHS App, EPS, and document workflows

Build and maintain reports to support QOF, PCN DES, enhanced services, audits, and quality improvement projects

Maintain high standards of data quality, coding accuracy, and SNOMED usage

Provide system support, training, and onboarding for clinical and administrative users

Support digital improvement projects and rollout of new system features

Supporting the submission of service claims and activity data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with clinical system data.

Ensure system use complies with Information Governance, GDPR, and DSP Toolkit requirements

We are recruiting a Clinical Systems Administrator to take operational responsibility for the configuration, optimisation, and support of TPP SystmOne and associated digital systems used across the organisation.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification

Experience

Essential
  • Strong working knowledge of TPP SystmOne in a primary care setting
  • Experience configuring system templates, reports, and user access
  • Confidence supporting clinicians and administrative staff with digital systems
  • Understanding of data quality, coding, and reporting requirements in primary care
  • Ability to manage workload independently across multiple sites
  • Clear communication skills and a practical, problem solving approach
Desirable
  • Experience working in a PCN or multi site GP practice
  • Experience with third party digital tools such: AccuRx, online consultation platforms, dictation software, AVT
  • Involvement in digital transformation or system improvement projects
  • Understanding of Information Governance and DSP Toolkit requirements
