Swift Strategies is recruiting an experienced SC Cleared Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale government transformation programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex environments, coordinating multiple workstreams, managing dependencies and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

This is not a technical Project Manager role. Instead, we're looking for someone who excels at driving delivery, governance and stakeholder engagement across multiple transformation initiatives.

The Role

Working across a portfolio of projects, you'll ensure programmes remain on track by coordinating delivery, managing risks and dependencies, and providing clear oversight across a range of initiatives.

Projects may include:

• Policy and organisational change programmes
• Technology rollout and implementation projects
• Business change and transformation initiatives
• Cross-functional delivery across multiple government stakeholders

You'll be responsible for identifying potential bottlenecks, escalating risks where appropriate, maintaining governance, and ensuring teams are aligned to agreed timelines, budgets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams
• Coordinate interdependencies across programmes
• Track project plans, milestones, budgets and delivery against objectives
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and blockers
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across business and delivery teams
• Facilitate governance meetings and provide regular reporting
• Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines and quality standards
• Drive collaboration across people, processes and delivery teams

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience delivering complex transformation or change programmes within the UK Public Sector
• Strong project planning, governance and reporting experience
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across large organisations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to coordinate numerous moving parts while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience overseeing policy change, organisational change or technology rollout projects
• PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent project management qualifications are advantageous

Essential Requirements

• Active SC Clearance
• Previous UK Public Sector experience
• Experience working within governance, compliance or regulatory frameworks
• Eligible to work in the UK

📍 Location: South or Midlands (UK)

💷 Day Rate: £500–£550 (Outside IR35 if applicable)
