About the role
We're looking for a hands-on IT & Field Technology Engineer to join our small, practical technology team and help keep our stores and clubs running smoothly across the UK.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting out from behind the desk and solving problems on site. You'll install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot IT and technology equipment across our estate, working closely with the Group Head of Technology and our technology partners.
You'll be involved in everything from POS and kiosk hardware, networking and Wi-Fi through to Microsoft 365, Intune and access control systems.
The Group Head of Technology will provide the strategic direction; you'll be one of the key people turning that direction into reality on the ground.

What you'll be doing
Field IT & technical support
- Travel to stores and clubs to install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot IT equipment and technology systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity and site-level technology issues.
- Provide day-to-day IT support to store and club teams, acting as an escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved locally.
- Carry out planned site visits, installations, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
- Work with third-party suppliers and contractors to resolve technical issues quickly and minimise disruption to trading.
- Install and support POS/EPOS systems, kiosks, PCs, peripherals and other retail technology.
- Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, cabling and VLANs.
- Support the rollout and maintenance of network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Use hand and power tools safely and competently for equipment installation and mounting.
- Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune-managed devices.
- Set up users and devices, enrol equipment and carry out basic troubleshooting.
- Support laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other end-user technology.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of access control and door-entry systems.
- Support systems such as Gantner card readers and controllers.
- Work alongside suppliers and installers where specialist support is required.
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, equipment installations, configurations and faults resolved.
- Keep equipment and site information up to date.
- Manage your own schedule of site visits and prioritise work according to business requirements.
- Communicate clearly with the Group Head of Technology, site teams and external suppliers.

Essential
- Full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between stores and clubs.
- Practical IT experience, ideally in a field IT, IT support, infrastructure or similar hands-on role.
