Business Analyst

Synapri are working with a leading Government body to hire a Business Analyst with experience in writing clear testable user stories and eliciting requirements through interviews, workshops and observation techniques for a hybrid working (Milton Keynes or Glasgow a few times a month). This is a cleared position requiring active DV or SC clearance with eligibility for DV. This will be an Inside IR35 position.

The Skills for the role are:

  • Proven experience in requirements elicitation using interviews, workshops, and observation techniques.
  • Ability to write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills, with experience in process mapping and data flow analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of bridging business and technical teams.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile and Waterfall (or hybrid) environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Planner for collaboration and task management.

The desired experience and skills displayed will be:

  • Experience working within cyber security, IT operations, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools such as Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practice frameworks (e.g., IIBA, BABOK).
  • Experience supporting discovery and process improvement within government or regulated environments.
  • Understanding of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and iterative delivery approaches.
  • Experience applying digital understanding to identify and implement process improvements.
