Senior Project Manager - Pensions Transformation

Help shape the next chapter of UK pensions

A leading opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Pension Transformation Project Manager to play a key role in delivering a major new defined benefit pension proposition.

This is a high-profile transformation role at a pivotal stage, offering the opportunity to help bring a new proposition from design through to operational launch. You’ll take ownership of a complex operational readiness and implementation programme, working across pensions administration, technology, operations, risk, legal, finance, commercial and external partners.

A key focus will be the implementation and integration of a leading pensions administration technology platform, alongside the processes and operational capabilities required to support the proposition and its future growth.

You’ll be responsible for bringing multiple interconnected workstreams together, maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring the programme meets its strategic, operational, regulatory, budget and timeline objectives.

The role will involve significant engagement with senior stakeholders, technology teams, third-party suppliers and implementation partners, so the ability to influence, communicate clearly and drive decisions will be essential.

About you

You’ll be an experienced project or programme professional with a strong track record of delivering complex change within pensions environments.

  • Delivering complex pensions administration technology implementations.
  • Managing multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks and delivery priorities.
  • Pensions administration operations, data migration and operational readiness.
  • Working with third-party technology providers and implementation partners.
  • Engaging confidently with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Delivering large-scale business and technology change.
  • Using recognised project management methodologies, ideally supported by a PRINCE2, APM, MSP or equivalent qualification.

Experience of DB consolidation, Superfund/Endgame propositions, buy-in/buy-out transactions or Procentia implementations would be particularly valuable, though not essential.

The opportunity

This role will suit someone who enjoys working at the intersection of pensions, technology and transformation and is motivated by the challenge of building something new.

You’ll be joining a fast-moving environment where there is genuine scope to influence how the proposition develops, shape operational capability and work alongside senior stakeholders to deliver a significant piece of industry change.

If you’re a confident, pragmatic and delivery-focused project professional, this could be an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of DB pensions. Please get in touch by applying with a copy of your CV and one of the team will reach out for a confidential conversation.
