  • Define and implement best practices for cluster setup (multi‐zone, multi‐region).
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.

2. Migration Strategy & Execution

  • Assess current infrastructure, workloads, and applications for migration readiness.
  • Develop comprehensive migration plans covering containerization, workload transfer, and data migration.
  • Execute migration processes with minimal disruption and downtime.
  • Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks.

3. VMware & Pure Storage Integration

  • Architect OpenShift solutions integrated with VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, NSX).
  • Optimize deployments using VMware tools and automation.

  • Ensure seamless compatibility across compute, storage, and orchestration layers.

4. CI/CD & DevOps Enablement

  • Design CI/CD pipelines optimized for OpenShift environments.
  • Integrate DevOps workflows using OpenShift-native and third‐party tools (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD).
  • Automate deployment, scaling, monitoring, and application delivery processes.

5. Scalability, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure architecture and migration plans support future scaling needs.
  • Implement security best practices: RBAC, network policies, encryption, compliance standards.
  • Conduct security reviews, audits, and continuous hardening activities.

6. Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to align architecture with business goals.
  • Produce detailed documentation for architecture, migration patterns, workflows, and configurations.
  • Provide guidance, knowledge‐sharing, and technical training to internal teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing OpenShift architectures and end‐to‐end migration strategies.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration patterns.
  • Expertise with VMware (vSphere, vCenter, NSX).
  • Hands‐on experience with Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade).
  • Strong networking & storage knowledge (ingress, load balancing, DNS, persistent volumes).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD) and DevOps workflows.
  • Experience in migrating workloads/applications to OpenShift or similar platforms.
  • Strong scripting & automation skills (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‐solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OpenShift certifications (e.g., Red Hat Specialist in OpenShift Administration).
  • Experience with multi‐cluster or hybrid cloud OpenShift environments.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (oTel, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Knowledge of Operators, Helm charts, and platform automation.
  • Background in large-scale enterprise migration programs.
