Service Designer

Synechron is looking for an experienced Service Designer to join their London Digital Practice. The role is instrumental in reimagining and enhancing the experience of internal users—such as auditors, audit managers, and control functions—by transforming digital audit platforms. You will collaborate with diverse teams to simplify complex workflows, improve efficiency, and build confidence in the digital audit journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of digital audit applications, ensuring a seamless user experience across all touchpoints
  • Promote a user-centered approach and advocate for design thinking within the audit transformation initiatives
  • Develop future-state audit processes that eliminate manual workarounds and offline templates, fostering greater consistency, adoption, and ease of use across global teams
  • Gather insights directly from users, senior leaders, and technical staff through journey maps, pain point analysis, and service blueprints
  • Redesign workflows to reduce audit cycle times, boost team productivity, and free up resources for risk-focused activities.
  • Identify key data requirements and establish points for data capture in audit processes to support analytics, reporting, and future AI applications
  • Ensure alignment of design strategies across audit, technology, and data teams to facilitate seamless process improvements within existing system architectures
  • Develop and prioritise tested recommendations with clear metrics to measure their impact on efficiency, adoption, data quality, and user satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience in service design, customer journey mapping, or UX strategy within a complex enterprise environment
  • Ability to simplify and improve complex workflows, ideally within financial services or regulated industries
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills across business, technology, and compliance sectors
  • Capacity to translate insights into actionable service and digital experience improvements
  • Experience with tools such as Miro, Figma, service blueprints, Adobe Suite, and research platforms
  • Knowledge of audit, compliance, or governance processes is highly desirable
  • Educational background or professional qualification in design, human-centered design, business analysis, or related fields
