About the Role
We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise‐grade OpenShift‐based virtualized and container platforms. This role focuses on automation, secure service design, and cross‐team collaboration across Applications, Hardware, and Network domains. You will build proactive systems that prevent outages, enforce SRE best practices, and participate in an on‐call rotation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize OpenShift and container/virtualization platforms for high availability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with multiple technical teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
- Design secure cloud‐native service architectures with automation-first principles.
- Develop automation using Shell, YAML, Ruby, Python, and Go for detection, remediation, and platform improvements.
- Implement SRE guardrails, system modeling, and platform governance.
- Participate in on‐call rotation to support critical production environments.
Required Skills
- Hands‐on experience with OpenShift Virtualization and Kubernetes administration.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and failure scenarios; experience managing RedHat, Windows, and ESXi workloads.
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems and networking.
- Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Proficient in automation/scripting (Python, Shell, Go, Terraform).
- Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of Docker and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
- Strong problem‐solving, communication, and analytical skills.

- Broad exposure across compute, OpenShift, Kubernetes, hypervisors, storage, Windows, networks, and Linux.

- Support development of engineers through mentoring and coaching.
