Role: Android Developer

Location: London (Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite)

Status: Outside IR35

Rate: Neg

Duration: Initial 3 months (Extensions due)

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to design, develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications, working closely with product, design, Back End and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.

• Build modern interfaces using Jetpack Compose.

• Integrate applications with REST APIs and Back End services.

• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.

• Troubleshoot performance, stability and application issues.

• Participate in code reviews and Agile delivery.

• Support CI/CD and application releases.

Essential Experience

• Strong commercial Android development experience.

• Excellent Kotlin and Android SDK knowledge.

• Jetpack Compose.

• MVVM/Clean Architecture.

• REST APIs and JSON.

• Coroutines/Flow.

• Hilt/Dagger dependency injection.

• Unit and UI testing.

• Git/version control.

Desirable

• Firebase, Retrofit/OkHttp and Room.

• CI/CD and Gradle.

• Google Play Console experience.

• Mobile security and authentication experience.

• Experience working within Agile development teams.

• Experience within the insurance sector or a similar regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
