Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to support the development of data-focused applications, automation and Back End solutions within a modern data environment. The role will focus on building reliable and scalable Python solutions, working with data pipelines, APIs and cloud-based services.

The Role

You will:

• Design, develop and maintain Python applications, scripts and services.
• Build reusable and scalable Python components to support data and automation requirements.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and Back End services.
• Work with large datasets and build solutions for processing, transforming and validating data.
• Support the development and integration of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested Python code.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, data and integration issues.
• Work with SQL and relational databases to query, manipulate and validate data.
• Use Git and CI/CD practices to support development and deployment.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Product teams and other technical stakeholders.

Essential Experience

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Experience building production-level Python applications and services.
• Strong SQL and data handling experience.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience working within modern data or cloud environments.
• Good understanding of automated testing and software development practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Valid SC Clearance is mandatory.
