Synergize Consulting is supporting a leading Defence and National Security organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Data Virtualisation Architect to join a high-profile programme delivering innovative data capabilities within a secure environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise-scale data virtualisation solutions that enable users to securely access and consume data from multiple sources without the need for unnecessary data movement or duplication.
The Role
As a Data Virtualisation Architect, you will be responsible for defining and implementing scalable data virtualisation architecture, enabling secure, high-performance access to distributed data across complex enterprise environments.
Working closely with architects, data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders, you will help shape the organisation's data strategy and deliver modern data solutions that support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise Data Virtualisation solutions.
- Develop logical data models and virtual data layers across multiple data sources.
- Define architecture, standards and best practice for data integration and virtualisation.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Solution Architects to deliver scalable solutions.
- Optimise performance, security and governance of virtualised data services.
- Produce high-quality architecture documentation and technical designs.
- Support technology selection, proof of concepts and roadmap development.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Experience working within Defence, National Security or Central Government environments would be highly advantageous.
Candidates should ideally hold DV Clearance, be sole UK national, or be eligible and willing to undergo UK Security Clearance.
