ICEE Architect/Systems Modelling Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICEE Architect/Systems Modelling Specialist to support the design, development, and governance of integrated architectures within complex engineering and digital environments. The role requires deep expertise in modelling languages, system frameworks, and structured processes to ensure technical debt, verification gaps, and budget risks are effectively managed throughout the life cycle of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Framework
Develop and maintain the architectural frame across both problem and solution domains:
o Problem side: Operational Logical, Operational Physical.
o Solution side: System Logical, System Physical.
Ensure the framework captures and mitigates:
o Technical debt.
o Verification and validation gaps.
o Risks of over-design.
o Budget overruns.
Process & Information Flow Definition
Define and manage processes, environments, and information flows across engineering and programme domains.
Implement modelling with strict syntax, governance, and rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Modelling & Standards
Apply and enforce industry-standard modelling approaches, including:
o Systems Modelling Language (SysML).
o Architecture Analysis & Design Language (AADL).
o Unified Modelling Language (UML).
Process Coverage
Lead processes to cover:
o Requirements and capability definition.
o Impact analysis.
o Behavioural modelling.
o Architecture and structural modelling.
o Verification and validation activities.
o Traceability and synchronisation across system elements.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong background in systems architecture, systems engineering, or enterprise architecture.
Proven expertise in SysML, AADL, UML and related modelling frameworks.
Experience in defining and managing complex processes and environments in large-scale programmes.
Ability to capture and manage technical debt, verification gaps, and budget risks.
Knowledge of requirements engineering, impact analysis, and system traceability.
Familiarity with verification and validation processes in regulated or high-assurance environments.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
Experience within aerospace, defence, or large-scale digital transformation environments.
Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks in secure or regulated industries.
