Infrastructure/VMware Engineer - Zerto | 12 Month Contract | Hybrid

We are supporting a large enterprise client on a 12-month resource augmentation project and are looking for an Infrastructure/VMware Engineer to join their implementation and BAU operations team.

The successful consultant will work alongside the customer's internal teams, supporting day-to-day platform operations while assisting with infrastructure changes and implementation activities.

This role is best suited to someone with broad infrastructure awareness across virtualisation, backup and disaster recovery technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide BAU infrastructure support within a large enterprise environment

• Work alongside the customer implementation team on platform changes and deployments

• Support and maintain VMware virtualisation environments

• Assist with backup and disaster recovery operations

• Follow established operational procedures, documentation and runbooks

• Support infrastructure monitoring and operational stability

Key Skills/Experience

• Experience supporting VMware environments (ESX/vSphere/vCenter)

• Exposure to VMware tools such as NSX or vRealize

• Awareness of Zerto for backup, replication or migrations

• Exposure to enterprise backup platforms such as Veritas NetBackup

• Experience working within BAU infrastructure operations

Desirable

• Experience with disaster recovery environments

• Exposure to migration or replication tools

• Experience in large enterprise or complex infrastructure environments

Contract Details

• Duration: 12 months

• Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week

• Start: ASAP

• Engagement: Resource augmentation working within the client's infrastructure team
