PLM & Configuration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PLM & Configuration Engineer to support engineering product development and project delivery within a regulated, defence-aligned environment. The role focuses on Configuration & Data Management (CDM), PLM governance, and user adoption, with a strong emphasis on Teamcenter Unified.

You will work closely with project management and engineering stakeholders to ensure compliant, well-governed digital engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Configuration & Data Management (CDM) and PLM governance frameworks, policies, and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (eg DEF STAN 05-57, JSP945, EIA-649C, ISO/AS where applicable)

  • Support and strengthen adoption of an integrated digital engineering environment

  • Provide functional input to resolve PLM/CDM process and project conflicts

  • Create and maintain configuration, customisation, and process documentation

  • Develop user guides, work instructions, and training materials (including presentations/videos)

  • Deliver PLM (Teamcenter Unified) training and support to engineers and end users

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Logical, structured mindset with strong documentation capability

  • Solid understanding of Configuration Management principles and standards

  • Experience working with PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter Unified

  • Proven experience developing user guides and delivering system training

Desirable Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter architecture, modules, and functionality

  • Experience supporting PLM in defence, aerospace, or regulated engineering environments
